It’s been a long time since I posted…last time was shortly before my mom passed away. I just haven’t been able to get my mojo back on a lot of things since she died, but playing with my stamps always makes me feel better. I just wasn’t getting on the computer to post anything. This week someone lovingly suggested a book to help me. I’ve read it quickly and now will go back through it again. And not coincidentally, I felt like posting a creation I made. 🙂
I put this on a Facebook group page and was astounded at the number of likes and comments! It was so nice to read them all!
I used the new Embossing Folder that is in the soon to be released Holiday Catalog. It is PERFECT for sweater cards!!! It looks just like a cable knit texture! It’s super thick and so different. Stampin’ Up! did a great job with this. I pulled out my old paper crimper to make the “ribbing” for the sweater and am using up some buttons. I’m not a knitter, and someone has mentioned my cables are going the wrong way, lol. Maybe it will make me look skinnier when I hold the card, ha ha. Have your cables go the other way if you want to be an authentic cable sweater.
My manager at work asked me to make cards for the management team to send out when someone finishes up the final close out step of their projects. So they can say “thanks for buttoning up your project” when they send these. 🙂
